The 11th Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition is coming back

The Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition - LKYGBPC <Cuộc Thi Ý Tưởng Khởi Nghiệp Quốc Tế Lý Quang Diệu> is the global start-up competition organized by Singapore Management University's Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. It aims to illuminate student/alumni startups that create innovative solutions for a smart, sustainable, and resilient future and most importantly, convene the innovation & entrepreneurship ecosystem for a week-long of activities in Singapore.  

The 11th edition of LKYGBPC is coming back with the theme: Innovations Beyond Boundaries (Phá bỏ giới hạn, Kiến tạo tương lai), where we look at the role of technologies across various industries in solving challenges of the 21st century.

Selected finalists will receive an all-expense paid trip to Singapore, numerous networking and mentorship opportunities with top VCs, and a shot at a $2 million prize pool!

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Each team or startup must have at least founding member or founder, who is a current student or recent alumni of less than 5 years.
  • “Current student” is defined as any person who is enrolled in a full-time polytechnic, undergraduate, postgraduate, or PhD programme at a tertiary institute.
  • “Recent alumni” is defined as any person who graduated or left school or took a sabbatical after 1 January 2019.
  • There is no restriction on the number of members in a team or company.

WHAT IS THE JUDGING CRITERIA?

Investability

Teams will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Innovativeness
  • Commercial Feasibility
  • Impact of Idea
  • Capability to Execute

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUBMIT?

Teams will need to register, fill in the online form and submit the following:

  • Executive Summary of not more than 500 words
  • Pitch Deck of no more than 20 slides
  • Optional: A video presentation not more than 5-min
