The "Science and Entrepreneurship Coffee Talk" is a series of talk show held by the Youth Union of CTU in collaboration with Department of Science Research Affairs and Center for Student Consultancy and Startup in order to provide students with necessary information related to scientific research and entrepreneurship. The two talkshows on November 26, 2021 and December 5, 2021 came back in the form of a livestream on the fanpage of the Youth Union - Student Union to adapt to the safety for participants from the COVID-19 pandemic. The programs have attracted a large number of hits, view and shares from students.

Special guests of the talks are invited from experts, researchers, lecturers and alumni of Can Tho university, who have experiences in researching and supervising students to study or get awards in the field of researching and innovating.

                                    Delegations of Entrepreneurship Summit 2022

From August 1, 2022 to August 7, 2022, the delegation consisted of 05 officials and 12 students of Can Tho University led by Prof. Tran Ngoc Hai, Vice Rector and Head of the delegation attended the Entrepreneurship Summit 2022 hosted by Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Malaysia. This is the first activity organized by the association of universities with innovation programs for students, including 10 universities: Can Tho University, Tra Vinh University (Vietnam), Universitas Trisakti, Universitas Indonesia, Telkom University (Indonesia), Palawan State University (Philippines), Chea Sim University of Kamchaymear (Cambodia), National University of Laos, University of Mpumalanga (South Africa), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (Malaysia)), in order to unify cooperation programs and promote research, innovation and entrepreneurship activities in the Association.

Within the framework of the program, representatives of university leaders discussed the future and development of the Association, the plan for the Association's activities for the third and fourth quarter of 2022 and the plan for 2023, the student exchange activities and international student entrepreneurship and innovation competition in 2023.

Besides, 25 student startup projects from those universities were invited to participate in The ASBX Startup Weekend with in-depth, hands-on training courses on innovation and entrepreneurship by professors and startup founders from Malaysia and the Philippines.

All projects had joined in the Startup Project Competition in front of a panel of judges from Malaysian and Filipino startups. As a result, The two projects from Can Tho University teams named  “Farm Management System using IoT Techonogy” by a group of students Nguyen Dai Nghia, Do Minh Khoi (Faculty of Technology), Tran Vo Khanh Tram and Nguyen Hong Ngoc Ngan (Faculty of Economics) won The 1st Runner up Prize and "The sanitizer kits for travelers from lotus essentials" by a group of students Tran Le Bao Ngoc and Tieu Kim Phung (Faculty of Economics), Vu Xuan Loc (Faculty of Information and Communication Technology) and Nguyen Thi Mai Huong (Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities) won the 2nd Runner-up Prize of the contest.
