Pursuant to the Decision No. 3852/QD-BGDDT dated November 25, 2022 of the Ministry of Education and Training on promulgating the Rules of the contest "Students with Start-up ideas" for the 5th time (5th SV_STARTUP), Center for Students Consultancy, Assistancy and Start-up of Can Tho University organized to receive entries and set up a selection committee to select 05 potential start-up projects among students to participate in the competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Candidates:
- Students of Can Tho University have ideas/start-up projects
- Student start-up projects that have won prizes in the school's competition related to entrepreneurship and innovation in 2022 or won similar competitions organized by units in the region.

Creative Idea Challenge is an annual innovative startup contest for students. The contest is a part of a chain of startup programs of 
VNU-HCM, is a strategic task to actively contribute to the development of the highly interactive creative city of Thu Duc. The contest
is accompanied by the universities of HCMC and the support from the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City 
and the Start-up Fund of VNU-HCM.

The National Innovation Center collaborates with Google Corporation to organize the “Grow with Google_Accelerate Vietnam Digital Talent” Program to support the human resources qualification improvement and digital talent development.

With the National Innovation Center’s sponsorship, Google is committed to sponsoring free course accounts with a term of 12 months, worth $168/account.

Students can start studying when receiving the email notification of admission until December 31, 2023. However, in order to be considered for Award in the 2023 Talent Search Campaign at University, colleges organized by NIC in collaboration with Google, students have to complete at least one of the program’s courses before August 31, 2023

Participants: Employees working at state agencies, organizations, enterprises, freelance workers; officers, lecturers and final year students of universities and colleges nationwide

Study time: Average time to complete a course and receive a certificate is 6 months (approximately 10 hours/week/course)

(Studying via coursera, so it will be flexible according to the individual schedule of each student)

Participation Criteria: No degree or related experience is required, as long as learners are passionate about the courses’ topic and have sufficient English skills to understand and complete at least 01 of the program's 05 courses.

When completing each course on the system, students will received a Google Career Certificate.

PROGRAM PURPOSE

- Create a playground to exchange, share experiences and start-up models among students from 12 schools in the Universities of Startup Incubation (UNIIC).

- Equipping students with new knowledge about entrepreneurship, technology start-ups and opportunities to interact with founders of start-ups, experts, startup mentors and local start-up models.

CONDITIONS OF SELECTION

- Startup projects participating in the recruitment must meet the following criteria:

- Start-up ideas based on technology elements (Technopreneurship) in the fields of Engineering - Technology, Biotechnology, or applying new technology techniques to a specific business area, or business model new business based on exploiting e-commerce and artificial intelligence platforms.

- Have a prototype, or a business model in progress (if it's a new business model).

- The maximum number of members per project is not more than 03 students, must be students studying at the training systems of Can Tho University, able to communicate in English.

- Members must have passports valid for at least 6 months from October 2023.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM PARTICIPATION COST

- Students of selected projects will be able to compete with competing teams from universities within UNIIC. Participation cost, estimated at 10,000,000 VND/student, from the following sources:

- The Center will consider supporting the cost of preparing videos, sample products, application documents (not exceeding VND 1,000,000/project), and domestic transportation in Vietnam.

- The UNIIC Organizing Committee will partially support the cost of meals, airport transfers and some activities within the framework of the program in Malaysia.

- The costs of travel, accommodation, accommodation, round-trip air tickets are borne by the students themselves.

Besides:

- Selected projects, if they belong to the incubation packages provided by the Center, may be considered to use part of the incubation costs to participate.

- Students selected to participate in the program can be considered for short-term overseas student exchange scholarships at the school/faculty/institute of management if they meet the criteria for scholarship consideration as prescribed by the University. The specific amount of the scholarship is decided by the student management unit.

- The participating teams, if they win prizes at the contest, will be rewarded by the School according to regulations.
